    Exposure to Near Infrared light at 830nm triggers the skins anti-inflammatory processes to accelerate repair and reduce irritation and redness.     Rejuvenating Red light accelerates cell renewal and repair, boosting collagen and elastin synthesis for smoother, firmer skin. Exposure to Red light at 633nm is clinically proven to increase the body’s natural form of cellular energy (ATP) which in turn “kick starts” cells to regenerate faster. Red light is potently absorbed by fibroblasts increasing collagen and elastin synthesis and boosting natural hydration levels. It also improves blood flow for increased tissue oxygenation and the lymphatic systems to eliminate toxins.     Blemish fighting Blue light destroys the bacteria which causes spots and helps in the prevention of breakouts. Exposure to Blue light at 415nm interacts with the p.acnes bacteria creating a photodynamic reaction which results in bacterial destruction. It also helps to balance sebum production and improve skin clarity. Applied in combination with Red and Near Infrared light, the Dermalux® Tri-Wave treatment offers enhanced anti-blemish results and is excellent as a post treatment procedure to help minimise breakouts and reduce redness.

    Dermalux® LED Phototherapy is a multi-award winning treatment that harnesses the power of pure light to naturally stimulate skin rejuvenation and resolve problem skin conditions.

    Utilising the latest generation Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology, Dermalux® is clinically proven and effective for a wide range of skin concerns; to reduce the visible signs of ageing, pigmentation and environmental damage and resolve inflammatory skin conditions such as acne and rosacea.

    LED Phototherapy has long been known for its healing and anti-inflammatory properties. Research has shown that the treatment can increase collagen production, destroy bacteria, reduce inflammation, improve skin tone, texture and clarity and ease muscular and joint pain.

    Unlike more invasive procedures that work as a result of the body's response to damage, Dermalux® is a non-invasive, pain free and relaxing treatment which is suitable for all skin types without downtime.

  • How does LED phototherapy work?

    While we often associate light exposure with negative effects such as skin ageing and damage, light also has many positive influences on the body. It helps us produce vitamin D and provides energy and serotonin for example. It can also accelerate tissue healing.

    The differences between the positive and negative effects of light are the amount and the parts of the light spectrum we are exposed to. Whilst on-going exposure to UV is very damaging, controlled levels of Red, Blue and Near Infrared light are clinically proven to be beneficial.

    LED Phototherapy is the application of beneficial light to our skin to stimulate various cellular processes to produce a therapeutic effect.   • Will the results be seen straight away?

    Following a Dermalux® treatment, there are some immediate visible changes in the skin but most changes occur naturally over a series of treatments. LED Phototherapy also promotes a feeling of wellbeing, helping to relieve the stresses and strains of everyday life!
